Hello all,

Just a quick post to both remind readers who know about it, as well as promote it to those who don’t, The Rite of Her Sacred Fires is being held as usual on the Full Moon of May. Since that is for me tomorrow, I’ve left this all a little late! Nevertheless..

The Rite of Her Sacred Fires is a special ritual that was created in 2010 by Sorita d’Este as a supposed ‘one off’ as part of a devotional work to celebrate a coming together of Hecate devotees. However it’s grown into a powerful  rite that is performed yearly by several thousand people and now stands as one of her major nights of the year in modern practice.

The ritual has for the last few years always been a favourite of mine, knowing that by performing it I am being drawn into deep working with not just Hecare but other souls that are tied so intimately to her. It is an amazing energy and it is something I can recommend for anyone that belongs to Her regardless of the path or tradition she is approached from. For me especially its going to be even more special this year as it will also see me perform my initiation rite in regards to entering the Covenant itself. It was a privilege to meet with and work with Covenant members and I look forward to the future with a renewed energy.

As a side note, it is four years since the creation of the blog! These have seen a major growth in both my personal work as well I feel in the Hecatian community. Some of this has been very painful, but it has all been worthwhile in the end. I look forward to the next four and thank everyone who has supported myself and my work so far.

In June, I hope to be able to finally detail the serpent rite I performed for a local group here. It is a twist on something Sorita originally showed us – the serpents simply came through and showed me a different facet to the work which I then took away and performed. I hope this will be useful to others when it finally arrives. Ill try and release this in PDF format as usual.

I hope you all get to bask in the warmth of her blazing torches this perfect full moon.

Ave Hecate,

~S~
